Patty and Denny left early this morning... such wonderful loving souls ... back to the real world, leaving our beautiful America created via Annunciation House.
Marjorie and I left to locate children’s clothing, small women’s underwear, and warm clothes for kids. Thanks for your donations-- look what it brought us... with some of the money. The kids' eyes will light up; so sorry we can’t take pictures of that!
At lunchtime as we were feeding about 45 people, arriving at the door were 48 others just off the bus with no notification!
One man handed me a garbage bag with some sandwiches in it. Who knows where they were from or how long they'd been with them. They devoured the leftovers for lunch and whatever else we could come up with. They were so thankful.
Can you just imagine trying to keep children clean living in a cage? Especially if they’re sick, vomiting, and have diarrhea. Even though we were having some water challenges today here in the rooms and housekeeping not being able to keep up with the volume that we had coming in... it’s still created a joyful place to be.
Imagine... Being thankful for what we have!!! Water, room, food, soft bed.... family together... peace!
