These are from a road trip we did with my 2 days off! Marjorie pulled me away realizing I needed a break! What a gift from her!
We went to New Mexico, which is nearby. Beautiful country! Beautiful fun places to explore...

Lots more photos below. (You can click on the photos to enlarge them.)
We saw petroglyphs while hiking on Dragonfly Pass.

[Petroglyphs show how Dragonfly Pass got its name...]
Artes Verdes... cooperative... I am bringing some back to sell and will send money back to them.
Mining in southern New Mexico.
[Sally says these are "tailings piles," the waste from processing ore creates mountains. ]

Views on way back to El Paso from New Mexico... beautiful country so open and untouched...
[Driving down a canyon on the way back...]
[Cactus hangs at the edge of a cliff... Pinyon pine above.]
[At higher elevations, ponderosa pine forests... and even snow!]
Marjorie and I stopped at a thrift shop in Silver City and look what we found for $1 a pr! Perfect! (Zapatas!!)
